PMA is an award-winning design studio located in Toronto specializing in landscape architecture and planning projects.

Established in 1982, PMA is a firm known for its professional integrity, creativity, environmental sensitivity and technical knowledge. The studio has extensive experience in small to large-scale projects in both the public and private sector.

PMA is an incorporated business with a sole focus on landscape architecture. Our strength and increasingly unique identity lie in the fact that we are not multi-disciplined. We work with specialists and sub-consultants appropriately selected for the scale, complexity and technical requirements of the project.

Our collaborative efforts are reflective of the broad spectrum of sub-consultants we engage. These include public artists and craftspeople, soil agronomists, water purveyors, structural, electrical and geotechnical engineers, specialized architects and ecologists.

We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and insistence that our designs get built well. The elegance of our built work is the result of our thorough understand of the methods and material of landscape construction and excellent working relationships with builders. We actively research new materials and technologies and incorporate them into our design process.

The success of the studio is found in the different yet complementary skills, expertise and personalities of the principals and staff. Through individual and combined merits, PMA offers professional design expertise, combined with construction management and contract administration, in the areas of urban design, parks and open space planning, sport and recreation projects, environmental and naturalization strategies, stormwater management, waterfront planning and health care /senior care developments.
